Question
Please read the opinion in the December 6th International Herald Tribune. http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/12/06/opinion/edkumiko.php
Do you agree with the writer? Why? Give at least 3 examples to support your answer.

Answer
・Fluent English is increasingly expected, rather than respected, in the business community.
・Teaching English may be necessary in the global community, but as a Japanese, one must first be able to speak proper Japanese
・Opponents of introducing English into Japan's curriculum argue that children should spend those precious hours studying their own complex tongue
・Japanese students will also have to overcome their shyness in trying out new words.
・In this extremely conformist society, even children are reluctant to stand out by speaking better or worse than their peers, so few students are eager to speak up in class. It doesn't help that English instruction in schools never encouraged speaking.
I agree with the writer because these are reasons. English is necessary in the global community. But if I can speak English fluency, but I cannot speak Japanese well. It is bad. Before commnicate with other countries people, I have to communicate with Japanese. When children speak good Japanese, they start to stady English.

Homework

Question
This week's homework is to read an article from the Japan Times and give your opinion. http://search.japantimes.co.jp/member/member.html?ek20060110ks.htm

Do you agree or disagree with the author (who is Japanese). Please explain why in your blog.

Answer
This is very difficult to answer. I think some men become "renaikeno" but some wormen become, too. Men and wormen is more equality, many wormen have work and become busy so women cannot do to resolve their best for just men. Therefore both men and wormen look for same appetite and they become troublesome to love. I think pople become egotism so they shun communicate with men or wormen deeply. Meny "renaikeno"pople think that communication with friends of the same sex is easier than love each other.
But I want to love man and relation deeply. Love is the most wonderful thing in the world.
