I agree with the Japanese contact of "wrapping". I think Japanese people are afraid of doing different their friends and acquaintances. For examlpe, when I discuss about something, I have my opinion but it is opposite idea with other people. I don't say my opinion. I try to blend right in with others. It means that Japanese (I) wrap thier feeling and mind.

Preparation for the next class "Death and Funerals" Answer these questions in your blog;a. Where do you go when you die?b. Explain why do Japanese have death memorial services 1 month, 1 year, 3 years, 7 years, etc. after a person's death?

When I die, I hope I go to Heaven. But actually, I don't know about it well. However I belive Buddhism so I believe I can come back as other person someday.
And when I was a child, I was often asid from my grandmother "If you are bad, you will be eaten by Enma." So I believe there is hell, too.

I sometimes go to Houji but I have never thought why Japanese have death memorial service. I think people don' t forget person who die. And calm the soul.

I think that your comment is nice. Though I also hope I go to heven, the fact is that we don't know about it well. Then, I think that all living thing come to nothing. But my mother agree with you 100%:-) So she also believe we can come back as other person someday.
